With
the increased popularity and ease of skiing access Meribel Village
now offers, we have decided to provide another option with this
6 bedroom chalet for groups of 12 adults plus room for 2 additional
spaces on the mezzanine floor if required.
Chalet
Rosalie is a spacious comfortable chalet with stone chimney corner
fireplaces to both lounge and dining rooms, south-facing balconies
with stunning views over the Meribel Valley, comfortable sized bedrooms
and plenty of en-suite and private showers, baths and toilets.
Ideal
for family groups up to 14 with children or adult groups looking
for a more cost effective holiday but still with the excellent flight,
transfer and meals service that we provide to all of our chalets.
Accommodation
comprises: three twin rooms, 1, 4 & 5 with en-suite showers/basins
and w.c's, rooms 2, 3 & 6 have have private baths/basins and
w.c's. A mezzanine area adjacent to room 6 can act as an overflow
for children or additional understanding adults.
Situated
some 100 metres from the Méribel Village chairlift (Golf)
the access to Méribel is direct and bypasses the busy Meribel
main lift area La Chaudanne. There is a gentle blue run (Lapin)
back to Méribel Village and you can stop at the Lodge du
Village and enjoy a beer or Van Chaud on their large sun terrace
overlooking the Meribel valley making this a perfect end to the
day. The regular free resort bus stops outside the chalet and takes
you into Meribel resort centre just 2km away from Meribel Village.
However you will find a supermarket, bakery, bar - The Lodge du
Village, restaurant and ski hire shops in the Village. Meribel Village
having grown in recent years lends itself to the quieter family
holiday with the added benefit of direct access and return from
the beginners area of Meribel Altiport.
There
is a representative based in resort looking after all Meribel chalets
who can arrange all your ski school, ski hire and lift pass requirements.
They can also advise of the best restaurants all in the Meribel
area. This is a no-smoking chalet.
Cuisine
Start
your day with porridge, cereals, yoghurts and locally baked bread.
This season we have enhanced our breakfast of cooked eggs, with
a daily accompaniment of one of the following such as bacon, sausage,
tomatoes, mushrooms and beans all served with fruit juices, tea
and fresh coffee.
Shortly before dinner you will be invited to enjoy a glass of Kir
with canapés in the lounge area with your fellow guests.
Your carefully prepared dinner comprises three-courses complimented
with selected French wines followed by coffee and chocolates. The
farewell dinner Friday evening will give you a chance to sample
the local cheeses accompanied by a complimentary bottle of port.
Wednesday
is our host's day off - on this day breakfast will be laid out with
fresh bread, croissants and pain au chocolate being delivered to
your chalet. Afternoon tea will be available as usual. Your hosts
or representative will be delighted to recommend and book a local
restaurant for you for the Wednesday night out.
Vegetarians
and those with special dietary needs can be catered for. Early dinner
can be prepared for younger children and toddlers on request.
This
is a no-smoking
chalet.
