Chalet
Baikal is a charming "log cabin" style chalet, providing
a warm and inviting atmosphere on your return from the slopes with
its glass fronted fireplace and rustic ambience. This chalet is
located in a quiet cul de sac and good skiers can ski almost back
to the door.
Chalet
Baikal presents an affordable option. In Baikal 1 there are 5 good
size bedrooms placed over two floors. The lounge and dining areas
are very comfortable with log fireplace and French windows onto
a good size balcony. Baikal 2 has 4 good sized bedrooms.
Chalet
Baikal is wonderfully located to provide easy and quick walking
access to both the resort centre (5 mins) and the ski lifts (2 mins
via stairs to the Piste).
Competent
skiers can ski back to this chalet through the trees, or to within
50m of the chalet on a red piste.
Upon
arrival afternoon tea is served giving you the opportunity to meet
with your chalet hosts and discuss any items and requirements that
you may have. Equipment hire, ski lessons and ski passes can all
be arranged from the chalet keeping you away from the queues in
the hire shops and lift stations.
Staff
are on hand throughout your stay to assist you in every aspect.
Chalet staff live in the resort and have a wealth of information
on local places to visit for example on their night off you can
ask them for advice on where to eat and to reserve tables for you.
In
all instances guests benefit from the knowledge of the in resort
staff and the resort manager who will be able to deal with any
queries you may have. Breakfast and Afternoon Tea are provided
on 7 days a week although on one day you will be asked to help
yourself as our staff are given a well deserved day off. On one
night each week you are asked to make your own dinner arrangements
(staff will assist with reservations etc.).
Please
note that the spiral staircase leading to the second floor is
a little narrow nad difficult to negotiate and is therefore not
suitable for children under 5.
