Le
Chardon is undoubtedly one of the most desirable and exclusive chalets
in Val d'Isere. Resting elegantly on the side of the Solaise Mountain,
it is a haven for keen skiers of all abilities. Each of its 10 en-suite
bedrooms has floor to ceiling windows offering uninterrupted views
up the Manchet Valley and Vanoise National Park.
With
2 separate living areas, large TV room, study, and dining room Le
Chardon is an ideal location for larger groups, and corporate parties
to soak up the magical atmosphere. The large private terrace is
a fantastic place to hold extravagant barbecues while, in the right
conditions, drinks are served from a hand crafted snow bar. A perfect
way to mix business with pleasure.
After an active day on the slopes of the Espace Killy ski area choose
to ski back or to be collected by your private chauffeur and taken
back to Le Chardon where afternoon tea and cakes will be served.
Choose to relax in one of the two private hot tubs with a glass
of champagne or for the more energetic a splash around in the 18ft
swim spa. Alternatively you may choose to indulge in a full body
massage, from one of the highly trained physiotherapists or to curl
up in front of the open log fire with a good book before you enjoy
a five course culinary experience. All of the menus are designed
exclusively for you by the acclaimed head chef and served in the
newly extended dining room overlooking the Manchet Valley.
Sleeping Capacity: 20 People, 10 ensuite King-size/twin bedrooms
Chalet
Chardon
is one of a portfolio of five luxury chalets in Val d'Isère
- Le Chardon Mountain Lodges - also including:
Lafitenia
- 12 guests
Mistral
- 14 guests
La
Bergerie - 10 guests
Kilimanjaro
- 8 guests
All
of the chalets have been constructed to the highest standards sporting
many traditional Savoyarde touches and each year they are improved
and updated.
The
2007/2008 season has seen the introduction of a new Swim Spa and
a total refurbishment at Le Chardon, brand new bathrooms installed
throughout Lafitenia in 2007, a new dining/sitting room in Mistral
and in La Bergerie there is a new state of the art cinema and Wii
entertainment room.
Situated
in one of the most sought after addresses in the Alps, the ski in/ski
out chalets are tucked away in an enclave above the resort.
Le
Chardon Mountain Lodges are steeped in history. The roofs in Le
Chardon and Kilimanjaro feature century old reclaimed beams, some
from the old Val d'Isère church, and if you're staying in
La Bergerie - spare a thought for the many shepherds who used these
walls as protection against the elements in times gone by.
The
pace of life in the chalets is dictated by the guests - whether
a hard core snowboard fanatic, a fair-weather skier or even a non-skier/boarder
- there really is something for everyone.
Each
chalet is fully staffed with a gourmet chef, chalet manager, host
and a chauffeur and vehicle.
If
you need to take your work with you, WIFI and office facilities
are standard in each chalet along with satellite television.
