The
entrance to Chalet Mistral, with its quirky beams and high ceilings
is demonstrative of the comfortable and airy ambiance that is prevalent
throughout. The relaxing living room is the epitome of cosy warmth,
with a large open log fire and floor to ceiling windows framing
the spectacular view of the Manchet Valley and the Vanoise National
Park.
Each of the seven bedrooms has character and individuality, all
having access to either a sunny south facing terrace, mountain view
or balcony. Every bedroom has its own luxurious ensuite has been
designed with a combination of Savoyard wood and Italian marble
to create a sense of tranquillity and serenity. For kids there are
endless nooks and crannies in which to play hide and seek, a TV
room with sofas, games, satellite TV and a DVD player, and acres
of outside space for snowball fights and sledging.
A glass of champagne in the bubbling hot tub, while watching the
sun sink behind the Roche de Charvet is the perfect way to relax
after a wonderful day on the slopes of the Espace Killy. Alternatively
choose to indulge in a soothing massage by one of the highly trained
physiotherapists in one of two private massage rooms. Complete your
day in the new dining room of Chalet Mistral with a five course
menu of culinary delights tailored to your taste by your very own
private chef.
A
short walk, or chauffeur driven ride from the chalet is the centre
of Val d'Isere with it's many shops, bars and restaurants, making
this the perfect chalet for families or for a corporate retreat.
Sleeping Capacity: Sleeps 14 people, 7 ensuite king-size/twin bedrooms
Mistral
is one of a portfolio of five luxury chalets in Val d'Isère
- Le Chardon Mountain Lodges - also including:
Le Chardon - 20 guests
Kilimanjaro - 8
guests
La Bergerie - 10
guests
Lafitenia - 12guests
All
of the chalets have been constructed to the highest standards sporting
many traditional Savoyarde touches and each year they are improved
and updated.
The
2007/2008 season has seen the introduction of a new Swim Spa and
a total refurbishment at Le Chardon, brand new bathrooms installed
throughout Lafitenia in 2007, a new dining/sitting room in Mistral
and in La Bergerie there is a new state of the art cinema and Wii
entertainment room.
Situated
in one of the most sought after addresses in the Alps, the ski in/ski
out chalets are tucked away in an enclave above the resort.
Le
Chardon Mountain Lodges are steeped in history. The roofs in Le
Chardon and Kilimanjaro feature century old reclaimed beams, some
from the old Val d'Isère church, and if you're staying in
La Bergerie - spare a thought for the many shepherds who used these
walls as protection against the elements in times gone by.
The
pace of life in the chalets is dictated by the guests - whether
a hard core snowboard fanatic, a fair-weather skier or even a non-skier/boarder
- there really is something for everyone.
Each
chalet is fully staffed with a gourmet chef, chalet manager, host
and a chauffeur and vehicle.
If
you need to take your work with you, WIFI and office facilities
are standard in each chalet along with satellite television.
