LES CHALETS DU SOLEIL
These
attractive chalets each house 5 to 16 apartments.
They are at the foot of the slopes, overlooking the resort, in the
'Balcons' area. 500m from the resort centre and shops, 600m from
the ESF ski school.
Breakfast
and half-board options are available at "La Ferme de Rosalie" restaurant,
located next to the chalets.
The
appeal of Val Thorens is quite straightforward. Even in the worst
snow winters, skiing here is guaranteed. The village, the highest
in Europe, is higher than many mountains and resort level snow is
normal. There are 3 glaciers and hundreds of snow cannons.
Anyone can ski here, the very exciting, space-age skiing offers
keen skiers the ultimate; every kind of lift, amazing piste variety,
and immense scope. For the more advanced skiers there are huge moguls,
fabulous powder and a 150 person cable car which whisks you to 10,500ft
at incredible speed for high altitude cruising and unbelievable
views. There is little queuing. The lift system connects Les Menuires,
Meribel Courchevel and the Maurienne Valley. The village is modern
but tasteful, lively and well equipped. The village is car-free,
compact and efficient.

per apartment

Local tax is chargeable in resort at 1.00 Euros per person per day.
Cleaning is charged at 50 Euros in small apartment, 100 Euros in
both of the mid size apartments and 150 Euros in large apartment
if apartment is not left in perfect order.
